Falk Financial Analysis (formerly known as Finance Outsource) is a firm specializing in statistical analysis reports of investment accounts - also known as Securities Account Analysis. We have produced reports in more than 700 cases to date encompassing over 2800 investment accounts. About Elizabeth Falk

Elizabeth Falk was trained in statistical analysis of securities accounts in 1998 as the Expert Witnessing Assistant to Neil Hennessy. Neil Hennessy is a recognized mutual fund portfolio manager who has ranked among Barrons’ Top 100 Mutual Fund Managers in each of the past 6 years, and is a regular fixture on CNBC. In 1998, Neil was also an in demand expert witness.

Mrs. Falk established a foundational understanding of account analysis during her employment as an Expert Witnessing Assistant and Management Trainee at Edward J. Hennessy, Inc (now named Hennessy Advisors, Inc.) and The Hennessy Funds, Inc., respectively. She completed her Series 63 certification (now expired) during this time, and was promoted to Director of Public Relations for The Hennessy Funds that same year.

With an interest in learning more about the financial industry, Mrs. Falk left the Hennessy Funds to work as the Sales Assistant to two top producing financial advisors at PaineWebber, Inc. (now UBS) in San Francisco. She eventually left PaineWebber to become the Registered Sales Assistant to the four top producing financial advisors at Morgan Stanley in her hometown of San Rafael, CA. She obtained her Series 7 and 65 licenses (now expired) while at Morgan Stanley. Mrs. Falk left Morgan Stanley in September of 1999 to prepare for the opening of Falk Financial Analysis (formerly known as Finance Outsource.)

Elizabeth Falk opened Falk Financial Analysis (formerly known as Finance Outsource) on February 1, 2000. Falk Financial Analysis is a firm specializing in statistical analysis of investment accounts (hereafter called “Securities Account Analysis”.) Mrs. Falk has prepared reports in more than 700 cases, and has testified in more than 40 FINRA (NASD) and AAA arbitrations as well as in court.

Elizabeth Falk was invited by PIABA to speak at their 2003 CA Mid-year Meeting. She presented on calculation of damages and the use of damages reports in securities arbitration cases as a part of the “PIABA Nuts & Bolts Panel." She will also be a speaker at the upcoming PIABA 2010 Annual Meeting in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, in the "Demonstrative Evidence" breakout session.

In early 2005, Mrs. Falk was invited to become a lecturer on calculation of damages for the Investor Justice Clinic at the University of San Francisco School of Law. In September of 2005, she was appointed by the Dean to the Investor Justice Clinic Board of Advisors. In September of 2006, Elizabeth Falk was offered the position of Adjunct Professor of Law for the Investor Justice Clinic at the University of San Francisco School of Law. She accepted the position and has taught at the USF Law School part-time since then.

As an adjunct law professor at USF, Mrs. Falk teaches second and third year law students topics which include reading financial statements, competing theories of damages, basic calculation of damages for the purposes of case evaluation, understanding and using damages reports in real cases, ad hoc financial and case-related hot topics, and the proper use of an expert witness before and at hearing.

The Investor Justice Clinic is also a free legal clinic which takes on securities arbitration cases for investors with small claims and limited means who are unable to find another attorney. Mrs. Falk prepares the damages analysis reports for these cases pro bono.

Elizabeth Falk became a member of the Securities Experts’ Roundtable in January of 2009.
